Poker Sites & Blackjack Sites
You can find other poker sites, blackjack sites, and card
game sites on this page. Most of these sites are owned by
friends of mine, some of them are owned by me, and some of
them are owned by friends but had some work done on them by
me. Some of them I have nothing to do with, but I really
liked them, so I added those here too.
Poker Websites
Beat the Fish
Online poker room reviews and online poker strategy
articles. Includes an extensive section for poker book
reviews. The site also includes lists of freerolls and a
section devoted to professional poker player profiles.
Bonus Internet Poker
This site focuses mostly on comparing poker bonuses and
signup offers, but it has a pretty neat poker strategy
section too. Unlike a lot of poker sites, the strategy
section here includes information about Omaha, stud, and
razz, as well as Texas holdem
Coin Flip Poker
The site has a lot of ads for online poker rooms, but it's
also got a significant amount of content about poker sit n
go strategy. Coin Flip Poker is image rich, so it can load
pretty slow for people without a high speed connection.
Directory of Online Poker
If you like organized lists of poker bonus codes, then
you'll probably enjoy this site. The site has an extensive
poker tips section which provides some pretty good poker
strategy information for beginners, but it's not exactly
brilliant prose either. Still worth visiting if you're a
novice.
Miami John Cernuto
This is the official site for WSOP champion Miami John
Cernuto. It features several humorous top ten lists related
to poker and poker strategy, and also features an ongoing
poker blog/journal where he relates his experiences playing
tournament poker.
NL Freeroll
Features freeroll schedules, but more importantly, the site
has an extensive section about poker strategy aimed
specifically at freeroll players. If you have a low bankroll
but want to make it into a large bankroll by playing in free
poker tournaments, then this isn't a bad place to start.
Play Winning Poker
Steve Badger's poker strategy site has been online forever.
He's not only one of the best poker writers working online,
he's also one of the most talented and knowledgeable SEO's
online too. The content on his site is great for people who
want to actually think about their poker game.
Poker Babes
Shirley Rosario's site focuses mostly on poker player bios
and poker player profiles, but these are not the typical,
generic, dull profile pages you'll see on most sites.
Shirley's a real poker player, so she's met and played with
most of the people she writes about. Her unique first-hand
observations make her poker bios way better than any of the
competition's offerings.
Poker Splendor
This site is a little flashier than I usually like, but it
belongs to a buddy of mine, so I'm including it here anyway.
The content focuses mostly on poker rooms online which
accept US-based players. The site has a "poker school"
devoted to poker strategy, but at this time, there aren't
many articles featured there. Hopefully he'll expand that
section.
Poker Tomorrow
This is my main poker site. I don't update it nearly often
enough, but I've been updating it more often lately. I
provide some poker strategy articles, but the real strength
of my site is in the guest columnists' section. I offer
poker strategy articles from Tony Guerrera and poker
tournament news and information from Bernard Lee. I also
have some stuff from Charles Memminger, who's a terrific
writer from Hawaii.
Poker Vibe
This is a newer site from Shirley Rosario, but it focuses on
poker strategy articles and poker book reviews instead of
poker player profiles. Many of the articles are written by
guest writers. It's a great site, even though it doesn't
have nearly as much to offer as Poker Babes.
Top Five Poker Rooms
This website used to belong to a friend of mine, but I
bought it and mad major renovations to it. The site mostly
provides detailed information about five online cardrooms:
Party Poker, PokerStars, Everest Poker, Bodog Poker, and
Titan Poker.
Unknown Poker
This is the first real poker site I ever built. I sold it to
a friend of mine, and he's taken good care of it, even
though I liked my original design a lot better than his new
design. The important thing is that the site still offers a
lot of really great poker content, much of which I wrote
myself.
Also be sure to visit our list of poker forums.
Blackjack Sites
Blackjack Hero
This is my main blackjack site. It includes a ton of
information about various well-known blackjack players,
reviews and recaps of televised blackjack events, and basic
strategy. It also features articles about how to play
blackjack for beginners and some advice on blackjack table
etiquette.
Blackjack Info
Ken Smith's blackjack site is about as good as a blackjack
site gets. The showcase content here is the basic strategy
engine, which is customizable based on the rules of whatever
game you're going to play. Input the rules options, and the
engine spits out a perfect strategy card for that particular
game. The site has a lot of other content besides this,
including an active blackjack forum.
Blackjack Tactics
A friend of mine built this site about blackjack strategy a
couple of years ago, but didn't have time to continue to run
it. I bought the site from him and I've made a few changes,
but it still needs more work. The site focuses mostly on
blackjack strategy type topics, but it also offers some
online casino reviews too.
Blackjack Tournaments
This is another site from Ken Smith, and it's mostly a
discussion forum on a single topic: blackjack tournaments.
It's the only website I know of on the Internet which
provides this kind of detail for blackjack tournament
players.
Card Counter
This site reviews books about card counting in detail. The
content for the site is still being written though, but I
don't think you'll find a more detailed review and summary
of Sklansky on Blackjack anywhere on the Internet.
I'm planning to review Blackbelt in Blackjack there
next.
Free Blackjack
This is a brand new site of mine that exists mostly because
I was able to get my hands on the domain. And it IS a great
domain too. It will feature free blackjack games when I
finish building it.
Free Flash Blackjack
This is an older site which features free flash blackjack
games courtesy of Microgaming casinos. The site includes
detailed descriptions of the rules for each of the blackjack
games available from Microgaming.
Hit or Stand
Another free blackjack trainer. This is an unusual site for
this list, because I had nothing to do with the site and
don't know the owner. (I'm friends with most of the people
whose sites are listed on this page.) I listed it here for a
couple of reasons. One is that the site is a really good
blackjack website. The other is that it's probably the most
popular blackjack site online, and what kind of list of
blackjack sites leaves out the most popular site in the
niche?
Hot Hand Advantage
This site is from Bret "The Mechanic", and he offers some
blackjack instructional DVD's for sale. The site also
features a schedule of blackjack tournaments. Brett's been
featured in some movies, tv shows, and in 21 magazine. He
offers a free monthly blackjack newsletter via email.
Online Blackjack Odds
Another site from a friend of mine. He hired a real
blackjack player to write the content on the site, which
makes it a little more authoritative than a lot of online
blackjack sites. The writer is no Ernest Hemingway, but it's
a useful and insightful website.
Super Blackjack 21
Another site I bought recently. This one is almost ready,
and it's going to be really cool, because it's going to
feature a playable blackjack game which keeps a track of the
running count for you. It's meant to be used as a
tutorial/practice game. You can toggle the count on or off,
so you can check whether or not your own count is accurate.
You can also choose which card counting system you want to
use and how many decks the game is using. Should launch in
July 2008.
Card Games Sites
Card Games Cafe
My new megasite about card games. It needs a lot of
copyediting and work still, but it's pretty cool. Features
articles about card games as diverse as Magic the Gathering
and Bohnanza.
Pagat
The first and last word on card games of any kind on the
Internet. John's site links to all of the important pages
about card games on the Internet, and it also features the
rules and descriptions of just about any card game anyone
has ever heard of.
